Rainy Day Boredom Buster: DIY Story in a Bag

We are starting to pull out some old standby activities for the upcoming stretch of indoor activities we will inevitably need. While giving our son's closet a much needed overhaul, we repurposed some of those "treasures" that needed a new reason for being by making a few Story Bags.

Story Bags - put a few random items in a paper bag, and kids can write creative stories about them!

Place objects inside a story bag and have students draw one piece at a time and tell a story. You can also have them write out the story or retell a story you make by placing the pieces in chronological order. Good creative writing idea, especially for Young Author's brainstorming.
