An early 20th century diamond, emerald and pearl pendant/brooch, circa 1910 The brooch surmount composed of a diamond-set double ribbon-bow motif with central triangular-cut emerald accent, suspending an oval pendant centred by an 8.8mm. bouton-shaped pearl, within borders of calibré-cut emeralds and collet mounted old brilliant-cut diamonds principal diamonds approx. 0.60ct. total, length 6.0cm.

The Victoria-Transvaal Diamond was cut from a 240-carat rough stone found at the Premier Mine in Transvaal, South Africa, in 1951. The pear shaped, fancy “champagne-colored” diamond was originally cut to 75 carats but then later recut to 67.89 carats for better proportions. Total weight of the 106 diamonds in the necklace is approximately 45 carats. The Victoria-Transvaal diamond was worn in the 1952 movie “Tarzan’s Savage Fury.”
