$55 - ISOSCELES an blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc & 4 % Merlot offers an opaque, dense purple-black core with barely perceptible color change to the rim. The nose has black fruit, firm but inviting oak notes of cinnamon and nutmeg, and a sense of just-roasted dark-roast coffee beans. The palate reveals an immensely flavored wine, repeating the black fruit intensity and powerful tannins typical of this brilliant vintage. The finish is stately, regal and long.

Quite similar in many ways to Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc tends to have higher acid and lighter tannins than its offspring, with fruit in the redder end of the spectrum and a distinctive, aggressive herbal note that can dominate the wine’s aromas.
