... that's not Romans 5:8. look it up. This is Romans 5:8- "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
okay thank you! I was so confused because I did not see that verse anywhere in romans 5. Is that even in the Bible? Where is it?
As far as I know this is only a title from a Christian groups music album. Dont know how it managed to get credited to the bible. Oh yeah thats right, the bibles been edited and mangled by simple men for centuries.
I think it is just an interpretation of what that verse means....that even while we are still sinners (at our darkest) God has loved us.
^ (Molly Willis) ...Exactly, this quote is a simplified interpretation of Romans 5:8. There are several simplified interpretations for other verses as well. Love this quote and Im seriously thinking of getting it inked!
:-) @Kelsey Cook Do it! I think its a beautiful reminder.
I've been wondering the same thing.
Thank you Molly and Kelsie!!! Read between the lines.....absolutely love this and thinking about getting it inked as well!!! :)
I got this inked on my forearm and I absolutely love it. I lost a close friend to suicide. It reminds me that even in my darkest hours, in my ups and downs, Jesus loves me deeply and would give His life again for mine. During that dark moment, even when my friend didn't feel like he could go on living anymore, Jesus still loved him. It brings me great peace.
I was also inspired by those words and wanted to combine them with Rembrandt's painting of the face of Jesus and make a postcard. During that process I, like you, discovered that the beautiful and comforting words could not really be said to be a quote from the Romans. If you like to see the postcard: http://www.pinterest.com/pi...
Love this verse!
