Loved "World Without End" by Ken Follett! It proved to be just as captivating as its prequel, "The Pillars of the Earth."

Just started this one. 950 pages to go... OK, now only 735 pages to go.... Love this book - now only 105 pages left! Finished it, and loved it! One of my all-time favs! A must read if you like historical epic novels with love, mystery, murder, hate, revenge, and loyalty.

Little, Big by John Crowley: A family saga anchored on the edge of a forest that's more than it seems. A unique take on magical realism. The first half was super hard for me—the prose is beautiful, but also so calming I had trouble reading more than 20 pages a night. The last half, though, is truly lovely. One of those books that makes you feel really small and really huge in the universe, all at once. (orig. pinner's comment)

"The Secrets of Mary Bowser" by Lois Leveen: Came to me highly recommended by a good friend, it's a powerful statement on slavery leading up to, and during the Civil War. I highly recommend this to you!

"Hopeless" by Colleen Hoover. Well written, kept me turning the pages.
