Random Name Picker: Save those popsicle sticks for craft time and use a slot machine instead!

Save on ink with these black and white awards. Type Student name right on certificate. Color awards too ($)

It occurs to me that if you typed up your class' names ONE TIME, you would then have labels for lots of things: agendas, writing folders, crayon boxes...

a really fun idea for classroom management/transitions... the "action cup!" write different actions on popsicle sticks, such as "pretend your legs are spaghetti" and have one student pick an action for the class to do each time they transition!

I came up with this idea by accident after back to school this year. This one is much nicer than mine. Parking lot for random questions the kids have, but you don't have time to answer right then and there.

Activity: "What's my name?" Each student received a stick-on name tag labeled with one of the 4 times tables. All day we are calling each other by our new names. I am "Mrs. 12". (Could do with addition or subtraction facts.)

You don't need popsicle sticks in a can. All you need to do is press F9 on your keyboard. OR even better yet, have one of your students press F9 on your keyboard.

Classroom Management/ Rewards Ideas I used to do this and forgot all about it. I picked a stick and they never knew who that person was until the end of the day. If that person behaved in line, listened and followed directions in class with few warnings, they got a surprise out of the treasure box and their name went up on the wall of fame..if the mystery person did not behave their name went back into the box or whatever I had and it was never revealed...maybe it is time to bring this back!

Whiskers and a nose on popsicle stick and hat on sentence strip for Dr Seuss week!

Make your own class lift-the-flap book! Kids LOVE a lift-the-flap book with their own picture in it. A great project for the beginning of the school year.

Cute idea! A reading tree - the leaves have names of books children have read.

{FREEBIE} Make-Your-Own Personalized Bookmarks! The front has the student's name and the back includes reading strategies! :)
