Quiet Days in Clichy by Henry Miller. Paris: Olympia Press, 1956. Original wrappers printed in grey, yellow and black. Backstrip lightly creased, some minor rubbing to the edges but wrappers very clean and bright. Creases to two plates, spine cracked between page 80 and the adjacent plate. An excellent copy. 29 photographic plates by Brassai, of which 2 are double-page. First edition, first impression. This printing is the only one in which the illustrations are printed from the negative on glossy, photographic stock.
