This is so awesome!
This is amazing
Very Creative! Thanks for sharing!
This is a great idea. Thanks! I even like them for all my kids to lay on the floor.
Very Cute!!! Thank you for sharing this.
What did you use to make the circle? Or was it just free hand?
This will have to be added to my upcoming baby projects.
I have made the tie blanklet and can't wait to try this. Love it.
love it. Must do this for my dog!
Be very careful, babies can suffocate in soft pillows and bean bags
Too cute for words!!!
"E"...is it "Dr E"??? If not, how about keep your negative comments to yourself please. :)
By the way, it is doctor. Not being negative, just trying to help.
I definitely would not leave the room, but it would be good if you were right there.
Yes youre right it is very risky for a child to suffocate in bean bag or things of this nature IF left unattended. I made this so she could lay in while we played and it's easier than her swing or glider for me to take it from room to room if needed. I don't plan on laying her on it and leaving the room. Thanks for the advice though. SIDS can be a risk in their cribs, bassinets, anywhere... I appreciate your concern but I know better than to leave her alone on something like this.
Ya know I dont think anyone is going to leave their infant unattended while in this pillow... its no different then using a BOPPY for the baby.. I am making this next week and its gonna be great ;)
This is so cute great job girl!:)
I see how some could say its risky for a baby but its cute! It would alos be a great doggy bed!
cute! i'm going to make one for my son :)
This would be great for the living room floor.
so cute!! great idea!
This is an awesome idea!! I'm going to make one for my nephew! Its pretty much the same as the ones you buy at the store and they cost a ton!!
love this!! I want to make one!
Goodness, yours turned out a LOT cuter than mine did! :) Have you thought about writing a tutorial for this to make it easier for the less-than-crafty Pinner? Just a thought!! Love this, thanks SO much for sharing.
I can't wait to make one!!!!
How do you do this?
Could you please give some direction for doing this blanket. I would like to make one for a new grandbaby that's due in early summer. Thank you so much.
I too would like directions for a new grandbaby due soon. You said 1 yd of material x2 right? How did you get the circle or oval shape? And please explain how you added the extra piece for a pop of color. Thank you
Need to make one for this wkend and it would be awesome to have instructions...hope mine turns out as cute as this :)
it won't be hard to make.. just cut two equal circles/ovals a little bit bigger than the size you want your final pillow to be, then all around the edges cut in 2-3 inches all around the circles, making strips all around the edges (make sure there are the same number of strips on both pieces of fabric) (thats why you cut the original shapes a little big so when you cut the strips it'll be smaller.) then lay the two pieces of fabric on top of each other and start to tie the strips together in knots. tie all around the circles except a foot to foot and a half opening on one end. then put a round pillow, or stuffing into the circle to the required fluffliness, and finish tie-ing the strips.
be aware that if you just used stuffing, then it may leak out of the holes between knots.
Ty Riley :)
Thanks Riley I am going to have to make this for my 11th grandbaby due in the fall.
As a Neonate nurse, this just screams SIDS. Babies should sleep on a firm, flat surface without pillows.
Thank you, Susan. I never thought of it as being possibly harmful for a babe.
Soo Cute. need to make one for my son he love the dogs bed too much. LOL
Great pillow for old child or teen to watch their favorite TV show. I'm gonna make a god bed
@Alixe Wilson, is this the original pin?
I'm not sure--it was one of early repins.
I love love love this!
This is a repin of the original pin. I made this for my daughter. For those who worry about the risk of SIDS... I made this for my daughter to lay in in my room while I was getting ready. It was solely meant to be a place for her to lay in whatever room I was in instead of having to move some of her bigger bulkier item to lay in. It was never intended for her to lay in unsupervised. It was very easy to make and it will be something that can grow with her.
I just made two of these for my friends & to help with the circles I used a hoola hoop that my neice has! I love this idea.
@Alixe Wilson, I'd love to make these for my boys, I live overseas though and have to order everything online, so I was wondering, how much polyfill did you use for this one pillow? I have the fabrics picked out but wasn't sure how much stuffing to order :)
Going to make this for my granddaughter
how much stuffing did you use?
