Add enough water to make the liquid deep enough to cover an egg. 3. Swirl the liquid with a spoon, and quickly lower and raise an egg into it. 4. Pat dry with a paper towel, and repeat with different colors.
Silk dyed Easter Eggs! Cut pieces of 100% silk large enough to cover an egg. Wrap as smoothy and tightly around egg, right side facing in, and secure with twist-tie. Repeat process with plain piece of sheet. Place eggs in stock pot. Cover with 2" water. Add 1/4 cup white vinegar. Simmer 20 minutes, then remove eggs and lay them (still wrapped) on layers of paper towels. Let cool; remove the fabric wrappings. If desired, rub with a small amount of vegetable oil for shine.
