"On the Road," Jack Kerouac. Probably the most influential book I've read. I got to see the original scroll Kerouac wrote this one in Denver about five years ago, it was fascinating.

The internet told me that if I liked Nick Hornby (which I absolutely do) then I would like this novel. I've read Starter For Ten and I have the Understudy, but I haven't seen this one around yet, which is strange because it's apparently, "A totally brilliant book".

The Help by Kathryn Stockett...obviously this one is pretty popular right now; and it is well deserved popularity because this book (and movie) is pretty great
