"Secretary Clinton has been thoughtful and tough-minded about where and how the U.S. should engage its prestige, its resources and its men and women in the field, both civilian and military. She is an idealistic realist and a superb Secretary of State." —Former Defense Secretary Robert Gates writes about Hillary Clinton, one of TIME's 100 Most Influential People in the World. ti.me/Jaddyg
President Obama and Secretary Clinton spoke at a solemn ceremony, as the remains of the four Americans killed in the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya returned home. "Today we honor four Americans who gave their lives for our country and our values," Clinton said.
“These four Americans stood up for freedom and human dignity,” Mr. Obama said in a televised statement from the White House Rose Garden with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. “Make no mistake, we will work with the Libyan government to bring to justice the killers who attacked our people.” President Obama condemned the killings, promising to bring the assailants to justice, beefed up security at all American diplomatic installations, & sent 2 warships to the Libyan coast as a precaution.

Ending the week with a quote from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in response to the Libyan attacks."When Christians are subject to insults to their faith, & that certainly happens, we expect them not to resort to violence. When Hindus or Buddhists are subjected to insults to their faiths, & that also certainly happens, we expect them not to resort to violence. The same goes for all faiths, including Islam."
