How to Clean Rough/Texture Tile Floors: Mix 2 tbsp ph neutral dishwashing detergent with 1 gallon of water. Dip bristle brush in cleaning mixture and scrub.

Spray paint? Did you know you can make your own spray paint? All you need is a spray bottle and acrylic paint. Mix 2 parts paint to 1 part water and shake to mix. I can't BELIEVE I didn't think of this before.

Whitewashing walls and larger wood surfaces is surprisingly similar: We use a 1/4 latex primer to 3/4 water mixture, paint it on thick (stirring frequently to keep it mixed), and then using rags to wipe it down to the desired coating. The wood tends to darken when wet, so the final result may be lighter. You can do multiple coats to get the right shade.

1 c water, 1 c vinegar, 1c alcohol, 2-3 drops dishwashing soap.....for shiny wood floors PLUS stainless steel appliances! I need to try this.
