Baked Cauliflower Poppers - they taste like french fries!
ohh wanna try
This looks soo good! I'm going to try!
Can[t wait to try these!!!!
A tasty, healthy snack - always a crowd pleaser. Glad so many pinners agree ;)
I ended up with 2 recipes for these...one says toss with olive oil (and seasonings) and bake for 1 hour. The other says season and bake for 10 minutes. Which cooking time gives the best result?
@Nancy Breaux. I would try both and see which one you like best. Put a 2 batches in the oven and take one out at 10mins to taste. If you dont like them put them back in for the full hour. I hope that helps :)
@Claudia Frasca-Jones Having a "duh" moment! lol Wondering...why didn't I think of that?! Thanks! :)
@Nany Breaux I have those moments ALL the time! :)
made this but cooked it 20 mins at 350 then 15 mins at 400...not a big fan of cauliflower but really liked this!
@Michelle Bixby Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a try!
IMO, the longer the roasting the better the taste. I make these all the time and cook them at 400 for 1 hour. They cook down quite a bit. We need two heads for our family of four.
@Leigh Arevalo - The recipe says 400 degrees for an hour and you are right they taste fantastic when they are cooked like that :)
I wonder- might be worth a try!
I made these and sorry, they don't taste like fries. Good cauliflower recipe.
Made these twice. New family favorite and we didn't even like cauliflower before.
Need 2 try this! Thanks for a healthy option.
Tried this tonight but added an egg and paprika to the mix and sprinkled panko crumbs on top. Even more satisfying.
I think they are amazing!! And my husband and son loved them too!!!
Love these!!! Yummy!
And if you just blanch them and dip in cocktail sauce they taste like shrimp!
common Italian side dish; common in Italy, that is.
@Rose Fine Craft Guild no wonder I like them so much!
♥ so cool
sounds super yummy! Can't wait to try
I guess I need to try it...because cauliflower taste like cauliflower unless you drown it in something!
what are you ladies dipping them in? any suggestions?
Maybe I made it wrong. I love cauliflower (and french fries) but I couldn't stand these- which really made me sad! I admit I didn't have olive oil and used canola oil instead- would that really make such a difference?
I would say they taste more like fried okra, but regardless they are spectacular!
definitely on the menu for this weekend
