This is one of the many beautiful vineyards in small town of Franshoek in the cape region of South Africa. Franshoek, meaning the French corner, was settled by French Hugenots fleeing religion persecution in Europe. They brought their knowledge of winemaking and started wine industry in South Africa. The buildings are in typical cape dutch architecture usually with thatched roofs. Franshoek today is the foodies capital of South Africa with an abudance of Michelin star restaurants and vineyards.
