Homemade Granite Cleaner 1/4 cup of rubbing alcohol (or cheap vodka) 3 drops of Dawn or other dish soap (Castile soap would also be a good alternative if you prefer) Water 5-10 drops essential oil (optional – to help mask the alcohol smell) Put the rubbing alcohol or vodka into a 16 oz spray bottle. Add the dish soap, essential oil and fill up the rest of the bottle with water.
1 c water, 1 c vinegar, 1c alcohol, 2-3 drops dishwashing soap
Top Shine. Take a spray bottle, fill it about 1/8th full with rubbing alcohol, add a drop of Dawn dishsoap, a few drops of scented oil (optional, but makes it smell so good), fill the rest of the way with water, shake together, and you're good to go! It makes your granite (or any countertop) shine and feel so smooth at a fraction of the price~I have loved it and use it on my appliances as well. Got this from Melissa at granvillehouse.blogspot. The Cure-All 5 oz. of Rubbing Alcohol 3 oz. of White Vinegar 1 tsp. of Laundry Detergent 1 tsp. of White Ammonia 2 drops of Essential Oil Fill the remaining space with Water "Multi-purpose, Multi-surface" Cleaner. I've added Essential oils to the recipe which make it smell nice
