Fish and seafood are high in tyrosine. Tyrosine is a nonessential amino acid, because your body can make it from phenylalanine. But if you eat foods with tyrosine, the path is more direct- as soon as it's in your bloodstream, it gets transported into the brain and converted into dopamine to be stored up for release.
