2012 Person of the Year: Barack Obama, the President | TIME.com. When Barack Obama won the Nobel Prize, Republicans complained "He won that just for being elected." That may be true if so, it is as it should be. Time's Person of the Year article illustrates that for this man, just winning an election was a world-changing event, and winning re-election might just be an even greater feat.
