Harriet Anderson, 74. Competed in Ironman World 18 times. In 2009, got clipped from behind on her bike, fell and broke her clavicle. She taped her arm to her waist, walked the marathon portion and still finished in time. It doesn't get any more badass than that.

Mike Fremont, 91, Finishes Knoxville Half Marathon in 3:04 | Runners World & Running Times

Its never too late. "Gladyator" ran her first marathon at age 86. At 92, she broke a world record. She reminds of the lady who I finished the Honolulu marathon with - a senior with MS who had run that particular marathon 26 times. Awesome! If she could finish it, so could I. (and I did, but it nearly did me in!)

Some day, I will do a marathon. That is my lifetime running goal for now: finish a marathon.

running sign: You are only running one mile 26.2 times!
