(1940) - Road To Singapore. The first road trip for Bing Crosby, Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour. Sure they had a set formula, but the Road films are enjoyable for the easy, funny banter between all three stars. Everyone thinks of Hope and Crosby as the team that made these films great, but do not discount Lamour's contributions. It was a comedy trio, not a duo. There's a reason she was brought back for all six sequels. She deserves a great deal of credit for the greatness of the Road flicks.
