love the meaning of this one "This is my first tattoo, and probably my last. It says “Non Carbarundum Illegitimi”, which means “Don’t let the bastards get you down”. Its a mock latin phrase that gained popularity just after WWII. I got it because my grandfather used to say this to my mom, and my mom to me. My grandfather passed away 2 days into the new year, and this is a tribute to him. It’s also written in my mom’s handwriting, and located on my left side, close to my heart forever."
