In 1901 a woman in Poiters, France was found having been confined to her room for 24 years by her mother

During WWII folks planted victory gardens. Some was kept for home consumption, some given to friends, relatives, and neighbors, some donated to the war effort. Showed how much people cared about one another during those dark days.
