How to Kill Ants with Cornmeal
To get rid of ants, put small piles of cornmeal where you see ants. They eat it or take it home to the others. They can’t digest it so it kills them. It may take a week or so, especially if it rains, but it works and you don’t have the worry about pets or small children being harmed!
Cornmeal is the quickest and cheapest way to kill ants. It is safe for the environment, children and pets, and does not attract other pests. Pour little piles of cornmeal near the anthill, the ants will take it home to share. The cornmeal cannot be digested by the ants and they die. It may take a week or so to see the entire colony gone, but it works. (Try coffee grounds too)
How to get rid of ants the chemical free way. Sprinkle cornmeal where you have ants. The ants will bring it back to their hills and eat it. They are unable to digest it so they will die.
NATURAL ANT DETERRANTS: I have personal experience keeping ants at bay with mint oil mixed in a spray bottle. Spray every few days all over the house. It works great! Also works anazing to get rid of mice. Of course, not all remedies work on every ant species, but for the most common small black ant it seems to work wonders.
