if you don't want to clean up ant bodies and want something completely natural... line cupboards, back of counters, even outside with baking powder! they disintegrate and pet/child friendly! no fuss no muss. another overnight solution

I'm afraid my cats would eat this. I'm trying the baking soda. I sure hope it works!

Wow Baking powder. Can you buy it in bulk? When it comes to ants I will try anything to get rid of them.

you can buy it in bulk at bulk stores. if you live in Canada there is Bulk Barn and Bulk Barrel that i know of that sell it in bulk. really though, a little goes a long way. i would put a thin strip in the back of the lowest shelves in the kitchen cupboards, a thin line along the back of the kitchen counter, same in the bathroom on the sink, and because of kids we would put it along the cracks of cement in our backyard. you don't need a lot... thin strips are more than enough in the right areas, no piles necessary

I heard cinnamon works also! But I bet baking powder is cheaper!

Someone told me red pepper worked but I didn't have any luck with it. Haven't tried cinnamon either.

Jessica is it baking soda or baking powder? I see you said one and someone commented with the other. Just curious because I'm surrounded by woods and having a carpenter ant problem
