Laundry (and craft!) Tip: How to safely make your own bleach gel - good for bleach stencil crafts too.

How to Use Bleach to ACTUALLY WHITEN Your Clothes

Add Vinegar to Laundry. Brighten colors, reduce lint, natural softener, and boosts effectivness of detergent. Add baking soda as well. No dryer sheets on towels... reduces absorbency.

I don't have any yet but ... Wash your towels in hot water with a cup of vinegar, and then run again in hot water with a half-cup of baking soda. That will strip your towels from all of that residue and mildew smell and will actually leave them feeling fluffy and smelling fresh. (Do not add laundry detergent to either wash. Just once with vinegar and once with baking soda.) good to know for the future.

DIY Laundry Detergent - 6 ingredients, cost you about $28 a year, this recipe makes a batch that will last a year! Can be used in HE washers.
