I am guessing that this tag is put on the collar while away on vacation. When returning home the "home ID tag" would go back on the collar
Right. But what if you lose him in the vacation spot, but don't find him before the 28th? Someone could find him on the 30th and not know who to call!
Best to keep on his or her permanent ID tags and add this supplemental tag for vacation.
