Seems British retailer, Selfridges is still in the mood of its centenary celebrations with more extraordinary collaborative products. This 50 year old whisky which was casked in 1961 has finally been bottled and is available for release to the world. In order to have a bottle in your collection, make sure that your pockets are filled with the required ¥1 million ($12,970) [a far cry from the $200,000 Tribute of Honor or even the 30,000 GBP whisky birthday bottle but impressive nevertheless)
French liquor brand Pernod Absinthe recently worked with Parisian label Maison Kitsune to release a limited edition bottle. The Pernod Absinthe bottles come decorated with a painterly motif of foxes sleeping and playing in a field of absinthe-flavoring anise and fennel flowers. As one of the most reputed producers of absinthe in France, the rarefied beverage blended of wormwood and other herbs has been bottled by Pernod since 1805.
If only 400 bottles of your favorite tipple’s limited edition are available then expect it cost as much as this Macallan 60 does. Its a sweet $20,000 for each bottle and only 72 of the 400 are going to be released in the United States. The whisky has been matured in casks that were filled way back in the 1950s. The whisky is characteristic of the era and is heavily peated.
