Fast-Growing Shrub for Privacy Screens

Shrubs | Chaste Tree Vitex --This is one of our favorite trees in our yard. (zone 7a) We saw some in N.O.LA as tall as a 2 story building. Blooms favor that of a Butterfly Bush. Hummingbirds love it, as well as the bees, and butterflies too. It will rebloom for us, without deadheading. Love Love Love this tree. LM

Beautiful combination of shrubs, trees & flowers

Mountain Laurel. Evergreen. (Partial sun. Amend acid, well drained soil with organic matter.)

carex: The Central Garden at the Getty Center in Los Angeles. Tulbaghia violacea ‘Silver Lace’ (Variegated Society Garlic) under Crape Myrtles in the fall. Landscape design by Robert Irwin. Mountain laurel. 12 ft x 12ft. Sun, Part sun, Spring bloom.

Lavenders, Silver Spears, Pittosporum and grasses make for a lush, but low water landscape in a difficult area

Great Design Plant: 'Little Henry' Sweetspire does not mind clay soil. Does well on edges of woodland. Looks great with My Monet Weigela

Gravel around the foundation for drainage, plant shrubs along to help soak up water. Like the idea of the large rock to prevent erosion from the water spicket. Maybe a few cool pots or barrels with plants too? I like :)

Crassula "campfire".
