Steven Gambrel ~ Library - The custom-made chesterfield in the library is upholstered in a Dune leather, and the circa-1950 lacquer cocktail table is by William Haines; the 1950s paintings were found by the designer, the walls are paneled in oak, the curtains are of a Jasper fabric, and the rug is by Beauvais Carpets.
I have a slight obsession with antique embroidery and needlepoint of all sorts, so we end up collecting lots of it. The pairing of old-lady needlepoint with vintage Turkish Suzani textiles is kind of funny, but I love it. The leather nailhead coffee table is a hand-me-down from my parents, and the sofa folds out flat to double as our guest bed.
