Anyone who attended primary school in the 1960's had time in their curriculum for such things as art, music, and penmanship! I excelled at the Zaner-Blouser method, which I saw as a form of art. What evolved over time was one's personal style. I miss handwriting today, and most times we simply scrawl. Typing is expedient, penmanship is an art.
