i could go for some of that right now!!
I can't wait to try it! I always have bananas in the freezer and I am lucky enough to have raw honey in my cupboard.
defintiely worth it! The applesauce does make it mmore moist! I use applesauce and will now try honey for all my kids treats and desserts! so worth it! :)
This sounds good !
If you guys wanna go really crazy, try 1/4 cup unsweetened soy milk = 1 egg! Makes it super fluffy...I use it for cupcakes and pancakes!
I've used applesauce in my banana bread for years. It adds great moisture and taste. Good Stuff!!
Mmm , need to try this!
That's A LOT of honey. It may be natural sugar... but sugar is still sugar. I'd try to cut it down a bit. Maybe use more applesauce.
Yum.....going to make this w/e. Bet kids will love it!!!
Yummy! May have to give this a try.
In the oven right now..
Has anyone tried Agave Nectar instead of honey?
Instead of using sugar, try sweet potato purée.
agave is really bad for you. that's what i've heard, anyways...
I am always trying to supplement suger items with fruit, can't wait to try it.
I will have to try this for sure.
I will so try this. I do need to hide the bananas from my husband, so they have a chance to ripen!
I tried it and did not like it at all. I made the original recipe though and it was delicious!
yeah. I also tried this thinking it would be fabulous... it wan't. I was disappointed.
Bake for how long on what temp?
I will try this
sounds good, think i'm gonna try it.
@ Marion-Me too! They never even reach the ripeness that I like to eat!
I've been searching all week for this pin while my poor bananas got super ripe! Double pinned it this time, no losing it and making it tomorrow! Woot!
Adding 1/2 teaspoon of vinegar to banana bread gives a really bright delicious banana flavor, too!
Have to try this. Looks yummy!
Made it and it wsa sooo moist and yummy, I thought it was still to wet but it was getting to wet and I took it out and after standing for 15 minutes it was perfect!
This is not very good. I did not find this recipe useful
Made this yesterday & it was great!
The more brown the bananas, the better! Yum O!
Not good at all! To gummy...I bake all the time and this did not turn out.
Maybe okay with applesauce but nothoney
I've made this twice and love it. Once I added walnuts and the other time I added chocolate chips. Next time I'm going to add both.
Hi, I have recently joined Pinterest and was hoping that I could get a few followers just to get the ball rolling. Would be grateful to anyone who decides to follow. xx
applesauce for sure instead of oil. yum
@Mary McFarland Mmmm.., Try this
Made this and it is very good, however, even though I used 3 very large and very ripe bananas, all I could taste was the honey. I like that the honey is a natural sugar, but would reducing the amount mess up the recipe? When I eat banana bread I expect to taste banana. Any suggestions?
My daughter and I just put this together and it's baking now. Smells delicious! Thanks for sharing!
I want to try this. Being a diabetic and a Weight Watcher, it looks like this might be a good recipe for me. Thanks for posting it. Looks wonderful!
Just made it it's great a little to moist but good.
