Why didn’t someone tell me sooner?!

I’m always on the hunt for ways to make my life just a little bit easier. Anything that can save me time and money makes me happy. The money saving keeps my husband happy too. ;) There are so many useful tips out there so I thought I’d share a few I’ve come across.

Clean showerhead ickyness with white vinegar in a bag secured with a rubberband... I think I will try this, hopefully it will get rid of some of the potential MAC hanging out there!

How to Clean a Shower Head

Clean your washing machine, chore to add to spring cleaning list: fill up, add 2 cups vinegar, let soak for an hour, run complete cycle. Then fill back up add 1-2 cups bleach and soak for 1 hour, run cycle. Use sponge or Q-tips with straight vinegar for stubborn spots, nooks & crannies.

How to clean shower head!

To get the built-up residue off your shower head, tie a baggy of vinegar around a shower head. Leave it there overnight, and it will clean everything off with no work. If vinegar is not part of your cleaning routine, it should be!

Bob Vila's Tip of the Day: Got a clogged shower head? Put boiling water in a bowl with a 1/2 cup of vinegar. Soak the shower head for 10 minutes and watch those clogs disappear. If you can’t remove the head, partly fill a plastic bag with full-strength vinegar and tape it over the fixture. Let it sit for an hour and remove, and you’ll be shower-ready
