The starting plan was to create a holiday home for a young couple and their two children. The main challenge for KO+KO architects was to make transformation to the house using the most advanced technology construction, without losing the warmth and inside comfort, that’s why they decided to create a wooden frame. Thus, there was a radical solution to create a concrete sarcophagus, on the facade resembling a Latin letter “S” hence the name of the house.
The Hill House which is under conditions at the moment and in the Pacific Palisades district of Los Angeles, California has been designed by Johnston Marklee Architects. Problems have been generated due to the construction on the hillside which makes the implementation of the project more difficult.
Beach House in Las Arenas by Javier Artadi Arquitectos is based a hundred miles south of Lima and explores the expansion of the conventional uses of a beach house. To that end, a container box has been created, a space that integrates the living-dining room and terrace with pool, within which various elements have been designed (conventional and unconventional furniture) that offer multiple use options.
