Here’s a great tip from Frugal By Choice to make your own grapefruit-scented cleaner. All you do is put the skins of a grapefruit (or any other citrus fruit) in a jar of vinegar and let steep for a month. At the end of that time, you strain out the peels and use the nice-smelling vinegar in your homemade cleaner.

Soak orange peels in vinegar for two weeks in a sealed mason jar then pour the vinegar into a spray bottle. Use as a non-toxic and yummy smelling "green" cleaner. I love using vinegar to clean with but have always wondered how to make it smell better - can't wait to do this!

Quick Orange Peel Vinegar Cleaner: Orange peels, vinegar in a quart jar, let sit for 10 days or so…strain out the liquid and use as an all-purpose cleaner. Easy, cheap, natural, smells good!

Orange Vinegar cleaner - Add orange peels (or any citrus peel) to a quart of white vinegar in a closed container and let it set for two weeks. Combine citrus/vinegar solution half/half with water and use for cleaning. Works on floors, tile, fixtures, etc. Smells good and is tough on scum! Best of all there are no chemicals.
