I consider a "lie" to be something of a serious nature which erodes a relationship (and yes, his lie was something devastating). Sparing someone's feelings over something as superficial as a haircut is not serious; however, instead of being dishonest by saying"I love your hair" -- consider saying a truth such as "a new haircut cannot compare to the beauty inside of you." As you get older and gain experience, you will realize that even those seemingly "little" bits of dishonesty can add up and reveal a person's true nature. By living a honest life, a person's opinions will become more highly valued.

Thank you. . . . None of us are perfect but we can all strive to be kinder to one another . . . along with being honest with others and ourselves. :-)

some people just don't care, as long as they get their way.
