What to do with a broken old KitchenAid mixer? Make a lamp of course, complete with working switch. #IMADEIT #PIXLRCONTEST

Awesome! Did you wire this up yourself?

Yup! Gutted the old motor, washed out all of the old grease, spliced the wiring to make the switch turn it on and off, and threaded it through the whisk with an Edison bulb. Original everything except for the wire, socket, and bulb. :)

My grandma bought this mixer back in the 60's and it's been passed down through the family until it died. I didn't want to get rid of it, so this is how we're keeping it in the family!
