Draw on plate, bake at 350 for 20-30 min, any longer the colors fade. If they do fade you can draw over original to enhance the color. You can write on the plate first with pencil, then with Sharpies..the pencil wipes right off after baking and cooling. Let your project cool or you can smudge your work. You can shade by drawing a line & immediately blending with a qtip. Do your shading in small sections so Sharpie hasn't time to dry. A nice touch is to write sentiment on the back, sign & date.
Great idea for kids!!!! Buy a ceramic white plate (dollar store) and let the kids make a picture with sharpie pens, then bake @350 for 30 minutes. PS, Mr. Clean Magic eraser will take off any unbaked sharpie mistakes. Cut a small piece off and use tweezers for a tiny eraser, or use the whole sponge to erase an entire design until perfect enough to bake on permanently.
