how do you do this???
Do you use the wand on this?
I wish my hair looked like this.
beautiful! Does anyone know what inch curling iron I would use for these curls?
@ emily d. it depends on the length of your hair longer hair a inch or inch and a 1/4 would work good on short 3/4 inch iron I use, inch and a 1/4 I like it looser
You should definatly use a wand for curls like this. Trust me, using just a curling iron you will NEVER get that look! I've tried. I then got my wand at Target, conair. My hair looks exactly like this pic with it! Love it, must have!
I have no problem with my curling iron but then, again I have a cosmo license so only use professional tools and that does make a difference, I don't see point in buying a wand when I can use my tapered iron for it tiny sections, is the key like emily t. Said either way practice makes perfect ;)
My sisters a hair dresser and she just takes the clamp off of her pro curling iron, so if you're clamp can unscrew you can do that too :)
I wear my hair like this a lot & use a regular curling iron :) it works just as good as a wand!
my hair is about his length, how long does it usually take to do this? doubt though that I could get it to look this nice. :)
@samanda3 I'm thinking you can pull this off.
Another trick is to twist your straightener at a right angle as you drag it down your hair. It will make spiral waves like these and most people fire up their straightener every day anyway.
omg this is sooo pretty! :)
the easiest way to get waves like this is with a curling rod...I do it to my hair all the time you can get them at sally's beauty supply or target or walmart the one i have looks like this http://www.target.com/s?sea...
it's the picture in the top left corner
Do you use any styling products? My hair is thin and doesn't hold curl well. Any tips?
Yes use Aussie products they work really well or redken products also work well too
My dream hair! Too bad mine is short and fine!
Anyway of doing it without heat? My hair is very long, but I do not put any heat to it.
my hair is really fine and frizzy, i use a curling mousse on my towel dried hair then after its blown dry i straighten it, then i use a wand and it comes out just like this pic, i also use morraccan oil on my hair too so it stays unfrizzy and sleek
I sleep in rag rolls, but it gives tighter curls. Really like these bigger, looser ones. My hair is 45" long though, so it might not hold the looser ones :/ Any non-heat tips out there ??
It's called the sock bun ladies. Beautiful curls everytime with no heat. YouTube it. For best results cut the elastic.
Thank you Calli I will try the sock bun.
my hair is so thick and curls in every sort of direction. when i wash my hair i towel dry it i put CHI oil in my hair comb it dry it a little with a blow dry it just a little where its not so heavy with water( it wont damage your hair) then put it in two french braids and sleep on it comes out gorgeous everytime. oh in the morning before you take it out take the blow dryer just to give that extra heat to (optional)
You can do this style with a curling wand!!
Just use a heat protectant spray
My hair will curl with an iron but then it'll be straight again after an hour or so, even with lots of hairspray. I recently discovered the elastic headband trick though, which is no-heat, takes about 5 minutes to do, and works like a charm! My hair stays wavy like this picture for the whole day WITHOUT hairspray! Google it! :)
I second the shout-out to Loepsie's Sock Bun.
If you dont want to go out and buy a curling wand, get a small barrell curling iron and just dont open the clamp and then wrap youre hair around that. it works just fine for me
