Just google "ringtone maker" and the first or second link should be to cellaris.com and you can just make it there! Set the finished file to export as .m4a (not .mp3), and then change the file type on your computer to .m4r (which is the file itunes recognizes as ringtones). Double click on file and done! WAYY easier than these steps.
Just get garage band for 5 bucks, import the song you want and import it to your phones ringtones. No computer needed!
