Made by Joel DIY is a fantastic blog, and here he shows how he made a Baby Toy Slot Box. He made some round circles out of scrap wood, sanded them, and cut a few slots into a shoe box. Then his older kids painted the coins with some non-toxic paints. The baby loves putting the coins in, then opening the box up to see where they went!
Shoe Box Theater - We have a couple of shoe boxes around right now. Might be fun to make one of these with a basic landscape in the background, and then change out the characters and scenery on occasion, using toy cars, play insects, play animals, etc.
Awesome toy to encourage girls to become artists, engineers, architects and visionaries.....Roominate. If I'd had this, I wouldn't have had to cobble together shoe boxes to make my houses.
all you need to do is cover a shoe box with duck tape, but fold around the inside so you can open it- great for kids toys or rooms
