The work is called Biografie, Bio-Graphy because it graphically (-grafie) represents life (Bio-) of small living creatures. On each sheet the artist (Bernardo Vercelli) has followed for a specific time (50 minutes each) different kind of insects; the ant, the spider, etc. Each of them have a totally different attitude and reaction. They are followed for 50 minutes each with a pencil, marking on paper the black life trace, of every creature.
