Foods Permitted throughout Lent: Shellfish (lobster, shrimp, crab, oysters, scallops, clams, mussels, etc.); Vegetables and vegetable products & gelatins, etc.); Fruit. Abstinence from meats / meat products, dairy and eggs; fish (including sardines, tuna, bass, trout, shark, pike, etc.) and oil are abstained on strict fast days. During fasting period, we should regulate both the amount of food and the frequency.
