Baking & Spices

1 tsp Baking powder
1/4 tsp Baking soda
1 1/2 cup Brown sugar
2 cups Flour
1/2 cup Granulated sugar
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Vanilla


1/2 cup Butter, unsalted


1 tbsp Water


12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks

if you make these, bake the cookie bottom for 10 minutes before you add the merengue - otherwise, they take WAY longer to bake than it says and you will kinda wreck your merengue.
