Marine SSgt. Jonathan D. Davis, 34, of Kayenta, Arizona. Died February 22, 2013, serving during Operation Enduring Freedom. Assigned to Headquarters Battalion, 32nd Georgian Liaison Team, Regimental Combat Team 7, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California. Died in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, while conducting combat operations.
Marine SSgt. Eric D. Christian., 39, of Warwick, New York. Died May 4, 2013, serving during Operation Enduring Freedom. Assigned to 2nd Marine Special Operations Battalion, Camp Lejeune, North Carolinao. Died in Farah Province, Afghanistan, from injuries sustained by small arms fire when an Afghan soldier turned his weapon against him while on patrol.
Army SPC. Thomas P. Murach, 22, of Meridian, Idaho. Died May 4, 2013, serving during Operation Enduring Freedom. Assigned to 1st Battalion, 36thInfantry, 1stBrigade Combat Team, 1stArmored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas. Died in Maiwand, Kandahar Province, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when the vehicle he was in was attacked by an enemy improvised explosive device.
Army SPC. Robert A. Pierce, 20, of Panama, Oklahoma. Died June 3, 2013, serving during Operation Enduring Freedom. Assigned to 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died in Tsamkani, Paktia Province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when his unit was attacked by a suicide vehicle-borne improvised explosive device.
Army SSG Richard L. Vazquez, 28, of Seguin, Texas. Died November 13, 2013, serving during Operation Enduring Freedom. Assigned to 3rd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. Died of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his position while on dismounted patrol during combat operations in Panjwai, Kandahar Province, Afghanistan.
