    ngredients (14 apples) 14 red apples, 14 kebab sticks 500g sugar 100 g glucose powder (look at pharmacy) 125ml water 30g butter 10 ml red food coloring Instructions Pitch a sosatiestokkie in each apple. Place sugar, glucose and water in a medium pot. Stir over low heat until sugar is melted. Bring to a boil and let cook quickly until the syrup 150? C measuring about 8 - 10 minutes (see tip below). Add butter and food coloring and mix with a wooden spoon until combined. Carefully dip each apple into hot syrup by using the stick as a handle. Place on baking paper sprayed with non-stick spray. Let cool until hard. wenkAs you is not a suikertermometer, so test: After 8 minutes of cooking, drop a little syrup in ice water fall. If it forms a hard ball that looks like glass, it is right.

    How cool is this for fall? A recipe for honest-to-goodness candy apples! The kind we used to get at the fair. They were difficult to eat but, boy, were they beautiful!!!
