How does it work?
The Samovar is used in Russia and throughout the Islamic world to make tea. Water is placed in the bottom section where it boils. The small top pot is for the tea leaves and water. As the large pot below boils steam is released through a grate to gently steep the tea leaves in the top pot. This has three advantages: The tea leaves never boil so the tea does not become bitter. Secondly, when making a cup of tea the user adds both the strong tea from the top and water from the bottom to create a cup of tea that is exactly to the strength that they like it. Lastly, as the pot boils during the day a small amount of steam is released into the air. SO in essence the pot is also a humidifier.
