Garbage Bowls: Whenever the class is doing a cutting activity, put a "garbage bowl" on the table. It collects paper scraps and eliminates paper on the floor.

WARM, COOL and NEUTRAL paper scrap boxes. we have a rule about these boxes: it MUST be a square or rectangle to go back in...no messy cut papers. we simply cut away the messy edge and reuse the paper.

Fruitbowls! Paint individual sheets with each of seven colors, "Eric Carle" style. Maybe paint a brown sheet for bowl/basket. Could be partner project sharing painted sheets. Following week cut out fruits and bowl and assemble.
