The park is named for the deep gorge that divides it, which is easy to get into and difficult to get out of. Naturalists lead exciting programs year-round including nature-inspired events, programs, and classes. Picnic at the sheltered pavilion and listen to the sounds of nature. Designated by the ODNR Division of Wildlife as a 'Watchable Wildlife' site.
The beautiful waterfall locally known as “Chair Factory Falls” is the natural feature now accessible by a pedestrian trail off of Lake Metroparks Greenway Corridor in Concord Township. Lake Metroparks recently installed this 0.3-mile trail to provide safe public access to view the falls, which were previously privately owned. The project was made possible by a donation of 4.5 acres of land.
