One man, 100,000 toothpicks, and 35 years: An incredible kinetic sculpture of San Francisco

Toothpick Sculpture -103,987 toothpicks used. San Francisco man Scott Francis Weaver crafted this toothpick sculpture over the course of 36 years, autobiographically constructing some of his greatest life moments and the details of his travels. He used 103,987 toothpicks, standing nine feet tall, eight feet wide, and two and a half feet deep and spent over 3,019 hours or 126 days working on the project. The artwork has been exhibited, this is the most intricate model of its kind in the world.

Wow! Made from toothpicks, took over 30 years to build, and is interactive with marble runs built into it.
