Republican legislator testifies in marriage debate: "You know, I was married for 23 years to the love of my life and he died 6 years ago... I don’t miss the sex… I mean I certainly miss it, but it’s certainly not the aspect of that relationship, that incredible bond that I had with that human being, that I really, genuinely wish I still had. And so I just think to myself: how could I deny anyone the right to have that incredible bond with another individual in life. To me it seems almost cruel."
We respect all our gay and lesbian friends and their rights. How people think gay marriage threatens the institution of heterosexual marriage is beyond us. We're destroying it quite well on our own with 50% divorce rates in many areas of North America. We need to stop the insanity and judgment. This is a cause close to our hearts and do not intend to offend!
