Philly friends get together in 1944. The sailor in the center is my Uncle. This picture is so typical of those times. Three of the five friends are in the military. What a sacrifice that generation made!

"The Tomb of the Unknown Revolutionary War Soldier (sometimes written as Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of American Revolution) is a war memorial located in Washington Square in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
